To install Super Zmodem in Telix ver 3.12..
1)In Telix hit ALT-O and select 'Protocol Options'
2)Enter the proper info and the names of the .BAT files supplied.
(check your Telix docs for more info on external protocols)
3)Put the Super Zmodem files and the supplied .BAT files in your
Telix directory..
4)Run SZCONFIG.EXE and edit the path info to reflect your set up..
NOTE=> Make sure ALL path statements end with a '\' IE: C:\Telix\
Super Z is VERY picky about the path information!
RSZ.BAT is the Download batch file
SSZ.BAT is the Upload batch file
The speed %1 parameter in the .BAT files will let Telix pass the
port speed to Super Z, so whatever speed you dial it will be passed
to Super Z's command line..
Here's what to enter in Telix's 'Protocol Options'
KEY| Protocol| Upload | Download | BAT or | DL
| Name | Filename | Filename | Script | Name
| | | | |
U | SUper Z | SSZ.BAT | RSZ.BAT | BATCH | N
Well, that should do it, and if all else fails => READ THE DOCS!!
I included my SZMODEM.CFG file for you to use as an example or just
use it as is if it fits your needs..
The Batch files included work fine for me but you may need a little
editing to fine tune them to your system.. I've tested them at
1200, 2400, 9600 and 19200 Baud rates and it works good for me..
Make sure the path statement at the end of the RSZ.BAT file
matches your directories!! Edit it to reflect your Dload directory..
Also check the Port x parameter, I use comm 2 but if you use comm 1
then just change Port 2 to Port 1 in BOTH Batch files..
This is a neat protocol and is fun to use but can be a little tricky
to set up so I hope these tips can help you out!
